Urban Decay: The Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette

Urban Decay: The Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette First Impressions

For months now, I could not decide between two palettes: the LORAC Unzipped palette or the Naked 3 palette. Eventually, I decided to buy the Naked 3 palette, my first high-end eyeshadow palette. I will probably come back later for the Unzipped palette. Unlike the Unzipped palette, the shades in the Naked 3 palette are more neutral or cold-toned. The case is absolutely beautiful and sturdy. My one complaint is that my palette has a default. The half of the word--"Blackheart"--is smudged. Here are the swatches:

(Top to Bottom): Limit, Burnout, Dust, and Strange

(From Top to Bottom): Buzz, Trick, Nooner, and Liar

(From Top to Bottom): Factory, Mugshot, Darkside, and Blackheart

I retook the last picture, so that you could see the red specks in Blackheart better.

As you can see, there are only 3 matte shades. Meanwhile, there are 5 satin shades (Burnout, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, and Darkside), 3 shimmery shades (Dust, Buzz, and Trick), and 1 glittery shade (Blackheart). Though there are large glitters in Blackheart, the glitters are scare when applied lightly, making Blackheart appear as a matte. Even when I pack more product on, it still appears as a matte. Another thing I noticed was that the shimmery and glittery shades have crazy fallout. Next time, I'm going to be slower building the product on my lids. However, they have great pigmentation compared to the matte shades. However, for Limit, this may be because Limit blends in with my skin color. My face is around an NC25. Out of all the matte shades, Strange shows up on my lids the best. Strange is a subtle but noticeable highlight. Meanwhile, I have to dip into Nooner 3-4 times before I get a noticeable difference.

The bristles on the brush are synthetic and really stiff. The flat-end brush packs on the eyeshadows well--better than my fingers. Like the flat-end brush, the other end picks up product well.

TheBalm: Frat Boy Review

                               TheBalm: Frat Boy Review

Hello, once again. I come to you with a new review on Frat Boy. Frat Boy is sold for $21.00 for 9.9 grams of product, which is amazing. In addition to this, its talc-free. I got the blush during a 50% off promotion on its website. I basically paid $10.50 for this blush, not including shipping and handling.

When I first received this blush, I was kind-of surprised. I imagined the product being bigger, but its not a bad thing. The compact's designs are really cute. It has this magnetic flap and is made of cardboard material. Despite this, it is actually really sturdy. Inside, it has these captions like, "So many men, so little time..."

The color is a pinky-peach. I'm a sucker for corals and peaches. LOL. The color is very buildable. In the pan, it looks matte, but once applied, you can see a small amount of sparkles in it. Because the color is so natural, I wear it everyday to school, and I have to say, it holds up very well. Yes, it does wear down, but I can still see a sheer hue after 8 hours. After, it doesn't last very long, but I wasn't expecting it to, considering I have 2 hours of crew (rowing) practice after school.

As for the texture, it is very soft and satiny. However, the blush is also really powdery. It doesn't really look powdery when you apply it. It just makes the application process a bit harder, which I don't mind. Though, this can waste the product. It, especially, happens when you swirl your brush in the blush. Loose powder flies around the pan. I usually swirl my brush in the pan for a little while, and then, dab my brush into the loose powder, so I can avoid wasting the product. This does, however, make the blush blendable, which is always a good thing.

26 Color Palette: Neutral Eyeshadow & Blush (BH cosmetics) Review

26 Color Palette: Neutral Eyeshadow & Blush
           (BH cosmetics) Review

I actually got this on Christmas but never got around too review it until now. I also said I would review a lot of other things but still haven't done them yet. I will try to post more.
When I got the package in the mail, I found that it was wrapped in Styrofoam in a midst of shred and basket fillers. It was no doubt that palette was in mint condition with no cracked eye shadows.
It was sold for about 10 dollars making each eye shadow/blush approximately 38 cents. That's a yes to budget friendly. :D
The packaging is also very nice. The cover has a matte finish making it harder to leave fingerprints/marks. I thought that the back of the cover having the same thing written as the back of the box (a list of ingredients, how to apply, etc.), in which the palette was contained, was a nice touch because you usually just see the ingredients on the portion of the packaging that you throw away.
The palette is a combination of shimmer, satin, and matte eye shadows. I usually don't use the blushes, but when I do, I use the them as eye shadows because they are all quite nude/skin toned except for 12 (see picture below). I often use 16 as a blush and 21 as a contouring powder.
The eye shadows are fairly pigmented with the matte eye shadows being almost opaque and the shimmer eye shadows being sheer. The pigmentation is also buildable, and they are all soft. All the eye shadow colors are beautiful.
The downside is that there is fallout. When I first applied some of them, shimmer was only visible on my cheeks as I tilted my head, and some color got on the base of my lashes. As time went by, the eye shadows transferred onto the area of my lower lash line near the tear duct. I also found that the colors of the eye shadows, in general, seem to mesh together after an hour. They all wear well until around 6 hours. The shimmer eye shadows seem to last the least amount of time.
The blushes are similar to the eye shadows in the soft texture and lasting power. They also have good pigmentation.

Here are the swatches: Sorry that the numbers, 1, 2, and 3, are so small and the swatches for 9, 10, and 11 being bad. :/
Notice how shades 15 and 19 are the same as well as shades 18 and 26.

Maybelline Baby Lips: Pink Punch Review

Maybelline Baby Lips: Pink Punch Review

I remember buying this last year but never reviewing it. Better late than never, right? When I first tried it in the winter, I hated it. It dried my lips, so that it felt like there was a layer of dead skin. Yet, my lips weren't chapped or peeling.
It wasn't until in the summer that I gave it a shot again. Here's my review. The lip balm glides on very smoothly and gives a pigmentation like a sheer lipstick. It is a baby pink color, but when its in a white lighting, its more cool-toned. It tends to last around 1.5 to 2 hours and loses its glossiness around 35 minutes. However, once the color washes off, my lips still feels moisturized.
Overall, I suggest this to be used by people with limited chapping (if that makes sense)or people who just like the color/pigmentation. Its $3.99 so great deal! :)
